A great conclusion to a terrific story. The mystery is intense and it has me guessing all the way through. The writing is top notch, the artwork is equally so, and the action sequences were very enjoyable. The huge cast of characters is a like an Easter egg for everyone who has followed the comics for so long. The mention of plots and previous storylines is definitely intended to treat the hardcore fans. This is a fantastic Batman story and one that fans of the character will love.

Look, I appreciate what they're trying to do, but I have comics (both pre- and post-Crisis) from decades ago in which Batman and Catwoman are already an item. This is what happens when authors don't know anything about the history of the characters they're writing. *4.5 stars* This was great! Even better than the first one, and so close to getting a full five stars. So many Batman characters in this volume, I loved seeing them all! This was definitely an awesome story arc, and I can see why it has all the praise it does. I highly recommend this to any Batman fan if you haven't read it already!! Also I did get my batboys featured, so my request from the last volume was fulfilled (-;

I'm not really sure why this story arc was so popular - I think it was mostly due to Jim Lee being the artist. It's an okay Batman story and does further the larger arcs in his life a bit, but it's not exactly worth the hype in my opinion. The major plot points turn on several unrealistic "surprise!" gimmicks; in that respect it's more of a somewhat lame attempt at a big shake-up in the batverse thriller than a solid or intriguing detective story.

I had to pick this up as soon as I could after finishing volume one. This volume was just as good. I loved the relationships between characters, I loved the fake reveals that kept you guessing, I loved the final reveal, I loved the art. Overall I loved this whole story and I know I'll be coming back at some point in the future to re read both volumes.

The fantastic conclusion to Part 1. Jeph Loeb and co. outdo themselves here, creating a full out mystery for Batman/Bruce to solve. All his foes are involved, and many are acting out of characterwhy, and who's behind it? Also, Catwoman/Selina and Bruce get closer. Red Herrings, false finales, and a great conclusion make for a superb book. Just like the 1st part, ESSENTIAL. Bravo.

"Batman: Hush, Vol.2" picks up right where Vol.1 left off. Still confused as to who Hush really is, Batman finally gets a chance to find out his identity. This is another book that I really wished I could give a 3.5 to. I did like it, quite a bit, but the more I chew on it, the more I find little flaws here and there. Ultimately, I ended up thinking that the cavalcade of stars worked fine, though I do feel like I was drowning in them by the end, and had a little trouble remembering who was doing what. Reading this is such a trip because the continuity of Hush volume 1 and 2 is so different from Batman's current run. Honestly, I really miss it. Some of it is weird ( Luthor is president!) but some if it is very rich ( Todd is dead and there's no Damian). In the end I find Hush himself to be pretty disappointing. Just like any other batman stories or movies this one was great. One book I would read twice.

Jeph Loeb essentially wrote the same Batman story three times in a row, but a little worse each time. I had read this years ago and remembered it as being so good, but it's mediocre at best.

The theme of these three graphic novels is that the art is better than the story. The story of Hush itself is quite engaging. But it's Jim Lee's illustrations that are the highlight of the story. The art and coloring are lush, complex and beautiful. The narration got to be a bit much at times, as if Loeb wanted Bruce to reflect upon every single aspect of his personality. This was by far the most intense comic I've ever read - from start to finish! I read the first volume a while back, and eventually I was able to get a hold of the second. It's a fast read, naturally, seeing as it's more illustrations than words, but there is a lot to each of the illustrations and it's easy to miss some of the finer details if you're not paying attention. I've read Hush a few times now, and I think it warranted an extra look to fully understand what happened. The art throughout is fantastic, and while Jeph Loeb's story may be slightly patchy in its pacing, the end comes all in one rush over only a few pages where the plot is explained in detail.
