    1. The story of the training and battle action of female volunteer French Foreign Legionnaire. Futuristic Sci Fi.Well-crafted novella written, I believe, in the world of McCarthy's forthcoming debut, Germline. Nicely structured and paced alternating timelines. Gripping, complex and believable narrator. An intriguing community of characters, and intelligent "end-user" knowledge of technology and mechanics of war. A quick, satisfying read.
