    1. Oh my! Nikki Navarre has provided us with political / romantic suspense story that kept me on the edge of my seat. For political junkies, it was the perfect mix of intrigue, political tension and romance to hook you.Alexis Castel has worked hard to earn the post of Counselor at the US Embassy in Moscow, despite who her father was and the fact that she reports directly to her ex-husband. With tensions rising between Russia and Ukraine, it's Alexis' job to make contact with her Russian counterpart [...]

    2. Diplomat Alexis Castle’s glamorous but stressful career dictates every move she makes. And in Moscow, where she’s under constant surveillance and faces the very real threat of being compromised by a Russian intelligence agent, her moves are limited to a handful of carefully calculated cocktail parties. Briefcase always in hand, her poise is unbreakable--until the Russian navy makes a threatening move on fragile Ukraine, and she’s forced to negotiate a solution with her new counterpart in t [...]

    3. Excellent romantic suspense! With so many light romances out there, it was refreshing to read such an intelligent and sexy book. The plot is intricate at times and plays into the spy intrigue and attraction between the very bright American Political Counselor Alexis Castle and sexy, adventurous Victor Kostenko, who although holds an important role within the government, may be something else altogether. When a crisis arises between the two countries, Alexis and Victor are forced to work together [...]

    4. Wow! Alexis and Victor are one hot couple! This is one very interesting romantic thriller! First, what I love. The setting is in Russia! :-) The two main characters are brilliant, sophisticated, gorgeous, talented and athletic. :-) Alexis is an American working for the U.S. government in Russia. Victor is her Russian counterpart. The story is excellent. Alexis and Victor work to stop Russia and Ukraine from war. At the same time, they start an illicit affair. Can they stop escalating tensions be [...]

    5. Bloody 5 stars.Really, how can a man be so hot. Though sometimes I wanted to kill Victor, in Alexis' situation I couldn't have resited a man like him either. The attraction between them was so palpable every time they crossed paths. And the End wasIt couldn't have been any better, really, a man like Victor confessing his real feelingsd it was a little funny too but great. And apart from these things it was really interesting to know more about how diplomacy works.

    6. Buddy read with AlyThe book was ok, it didn't sweep me off my feet but it was ok.The story was good but I couldn't connect with the characters. I you need an Ok book to pass your day, this is it it has a couple of great steamy scenes :)

    7. THE RUSSIAN SEDUCTION is the story of what happens when Political Counselor, Alexis Castle, a diplomat on her way up, meets Victor Kostenko, a submarine captain who lost his ship, his command and is on the way down. Each has a great deal to prove to their respective governments. Can Alexis show everyone that she earned her position and doesn’t have it because of her family connections? Can Victor prove that he follows his own code of ethics or is he just marching to his government’s dictates [...]

    8. There’s no doubt about it, Nikki Navarre knows her subject matter. She speaks with authority and insider perspective on many issues as she weaves her knowledge into this story. Painted with the masterful strokes of skilled artist, her written word draws readers into a well-polished, orchestrated world where each character moves and interacts with the precision of chest pieces on a game board. Her descriptions are fresh and dialogue strong and invoking. This story, filled with political intrigu [...]

    9. I really liked The Russian Seduction. It was extremely interesting to be immersed and read about the world of diplomats. At the same time though, because I know nothing about those kinds of occupations, it would have helped me to be able to reference back to some kind of chart or diagram of the hierarchy of positions and what their duties were.Nikki Navarre did a terrific job incorporating romance into this storyline. There was action and what ifs to keep it moving. I love strong characters who [...]

    10. Great bookThis is the first book in this amazing series. Don't worry it can be read as a standalone. If love a good romantic suspense story with Hot love scenes, this book is for you. Get it today. So so good.

    11. This book is enthralling, the type I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end, and could barely put down as I read! The two main characters are smart and accomplished, beautiful in appearance and strong in purpose, and feel the type of ultimate attraction to each other that is forbidden because she is an American diplomat and he is a high-level individual in the Russian government and trust between them is hard to build. Throughout the story line their attraction is strong in every way and never [...]

    12. DNF @55%.It started well enough. I love a good Russian hero. I love the setting. I loved the conflict. With all the 'ingredients,' this could have been out of this world but it started to become mediocre around 45% in and before I knew it, I was skipping pages. I loved the tension but I think it needed to go on a little longer for me to enjoy this book. Also, the stage of their romance was typical. Steamy sex and then excuse and drifting apart because they cannot be together. I mean, I've read b [...]

    13. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily reviewed this book. This is my honest review. This was an awesome romantic suspense with great characters and a great story line. I can't wait to read the next books in this series. Definitely recommend.

    14. Ok so I wasn't sure how I would feel about this book because it was a political thriller, but I absolutely LOVED this book! It's a kind of book that keeps you turning the page to see whats coming next. Although, there were definitely times where I wanted to shake Alexis because I felt she was a bit naive, especially with where some information was coming from. The only thing that would have made this book better would be if it was Dual POV. I would've loved to get some insight from Victor. I def [...]

    15. A political suspenseful romance, The Russian Seduction hijacked my routine and household responsibilities in favour of the need to know what was happening between Alexis Castle and Victor Kostenko. This exciting book perfectly describes the fishbowl lifestyle of a diplomat, especially in an Embassy situated in Russia at a time when relations with the United States were less than amicable. It is no wonder that only the fittest survive the pressures of the job, and that many return from the field [...]

    16. "The Russian Seduction" was a very, very enjoyable read. I ripped right through it! If you love hunky Russian heroes and/or stories about state secrets and espionage, this is the book for you. I liked both the hero and heroine; they both had good motivations for what they did and how they handled themselves. The story was twisty enough to satisfy, and the action moves right along. There isn't a dull moment in this story, and the conflicts between the characters feel real instead of manufactured. [...]

    17. Okay, this is the book that made me create a "romance" shelf. If I have two in the category, I make a shelf for it.The reason I downloaded this book is because 1) the title is hilarious, 2) the premise promised suspense, and 3) it was free.It took me a while to get to reading the book, but apparently I did so at the right time because the book takes place during Christmas. I don't read romance novels that often, so my frame of reference is probably askew. I will say that the book provides lots o [...]

    18. 282p State secrets have never been this sexy.Victor Kostenko was the golden boy of the Russian Navy, a submarine captain with a maverick image, until he lost his command for an act of treason he didn't commit. Arrogant, aggressive, and super-smart, the captain pairs his daunting reputation with an appetite for adventure. And he's never met a rule he won't break. Now it's rumored he'll do anything to get back in his government's good graces. Political Counselor Alexis Castle is one of the highest [...]

    19. I enjoyed this book. It was a chick lit but one with a lot to it not just silliness not like a lot of the books of the genre can be. Sometimes it can get caught up a bit in the technical stuff (submarine, government talk, etc.) but still very interesting. The characters chemistry is sizzling and enhances the plot. I read the second story in the series first and I admit I do like it a bit better, but I do really like both of these books!

    20. I have to admit that I love books about Russia. This one had Russia and lots of suspense and seduction. Intelligent, polished American Diplomat falls for former submarine captain/Russian spy. A good read!

    21. Everything was good, but for the ending. I feel like somehow it was cut short. there was no conculsion to their future or where it was going.

    22. very good opening, but very short for a first chapter, and that is all I got, the first chapter as it was a booklet, loved the making of it.
