    1. I won this book in a give-a-way. It is an omnibus of the 3 original books and a new 4th book. I read the first book many years ago but never got to read the others. Marriage got in the way as it will with so many things. No wives to interfere this time. This is classic Space Opera. The first 3 books are by Davis Bischoff and edited and modernized by Saul Garnell. Modernized you say? This is a quote from the forward that explains all. "Most of the original text remains unchanged. There has been s [...]

    2. Star Hounds: The Infinite Battle, Galactic Warriors and The Macrocosmic Conflictby David BischoffThis trilogy is right dead in the center of one of my favorite genres, with sub-genre. It's sort of a military space opera with techno-thriller, romance, alien interaction and comedy rolled together. Laura is a hotshot blip-ship pilot who through techno-augmentation can do things no natural human is capable of doing, yet she has some impulse control issues which seem to land her in trouble a lot. The [...]

    3. This book contains the first three novels in the Star Hounds series, plus a new 4th novella entitled The Planet Killer. For existing reviews of each book, please click on the following books: Enjoy!

    4. A very cool series. I do enjoy reading sci-fi universes that are a tad different than all the others. Yes several themes do cross over, but the authors really work hard to create a unique stand alone saga and make it their own.If you want real fun, read this during the next election cycle and cringe as you listen to the politicians trying to tell you that what they are doing is for the best. Some frightening foreshadowing here.I marked this as a "first-reads" book, even though I didn't win the c [...]

    5. This omnibus edition of Star Hounds is probably the best way to read the original series published in the mid-80s as a trilogy. The books flow together seamlessly and are probably best read at once. (Bonus 4th book is more of a novella)If you enjoy snarky characters hell-bent on stickin' it to the man in space! then give this a go!I won this in a giveaway! Who is lucky? me.
