    1. I recently finished reading Until I Found You by Victoria Bylin. This has to be one of the most boring books I have read in a long time. But before I get ahead of myself, let's start with the basics and go from there. The cover is immediately what drew me to the book itself. It has both excellent photography and design. The story sounded pretty interesting from the synopsis, so I figured I'd give it a go. As for characters, Nick is pretty typical, except that he has supernatural patience for his [...]

    2. Sweet and enticing tale of love and belief! Lauren Kate, an American author of Fallen series has been quoted as:“Sometimes beautiful things come into our lives out of nowhere. We can't always understand them, but we have to trust in them. I know you want to question everything, but sometimes it pays to just have a little faith.”Until I Found You by Victoria Bylin is a pretty amazing Christian romance, and for any first time believer in Christianity, this book might stand out to be an useful [...]

    3. I found this for $3 on the Mardel clearance shelf and loved the cover I grabbed it, since I'd heard good things about the author. I really, really loved the story! Both Kate and Nick have a past—Nick is recently saved; Kate has been wandering in her faith—but it is handled very well on the author's part, and I never felt like she gave a sense of either condonement or condemnation for their past choices. Just "that's past; I'm a Christian now; I have to fight to make the right choices and sta [...]

    4. Victoria Bylin has written a book about a contemporary knight in shining armor, one of the most engaging heroes I've read in a while, and the woman who tempts him, a new Christian, to break his vow not to date for a year. Fresh from a broken relationship, the heroine is torn between her career and caring for her grandmother recovering from a stroke. Neither is looking for a relationship but the best things happen while we are making other plans. In addition to the realistic romance with all it's [...]

    5. Having never even heard of Victoria Bylin, I did not know what to expect. I wanted the book mainly because of its cover (it’s gorgeous front and back!). The author has a way of making her characters and situations extremely realistic. This book would probably be really good for new Christians, as it deals with a lot of questions they would experience. Nick Sheridan had only been a Christian for six months at the beginning of the story. Kate was just beginning to question all she thought she be [...]

    6. Relatable characters in the midst of realistic struggles anchor this incredible story. If you like Real with a capital R in your fiction, this is the book for you. The action packed opening (which is also symbolic of Nick and Kate's relationship) took my breath away. I love the way their stories unfold -- gritty, raw, but inevitably hope-filled. By the time we meet him, Nick has made a radical life change and he's making valiant attempts to prevent a repetition of past mistakes. Loved that about [...]

    7. Victoria Bylin has created a realistic world with characters the reader will relate to. I can especially relate to the heroine, Kate Darby, who deals with the fear of what-ifs. Nick is a new Christian and focused on building a life completely different than the one he lived before he came to faith. There's an instant connection between these two. However, they both hold back from pursuing a relationship. Kate doesn't share Nick's faith. And Nick has made a pledge to remain single for a year. We [...]

    8. Until I Found You by Victoria BylinKate Darby's mantra is to enjoy life one day at a time. She enjoys her work and living in the city. When Leona Darby, her grandmother, becomes ill Kate heads to the small mountain town of Meadows to take care of her and help run the small newspaper her grandfather started. She suddenly finds her life having more twists and turns than the mountain highways.Nick Sheridan isn't proud of his past. He had a bestseller book about his old life, his hedonistic life. On [...]

    9. So, the book starts out as a typical girl in distress, guy shows up and is her knight in shining armor and saves the day (more than once!), it quickly grows into so much more. There's depth to the characters, a story line that just has you turning page and after page and a beautiful weaving of faith into a romance that sizzles with chemistry right from the start.

    10. It felt like deja vu when I picked up the latest novel Until I Found You, from author Victoria Bylin. When I first began writing in high school I had written a story that began much in the same aspect as this one did but that is all the similarities between the two. It took me back almost 35 years but with a fondness for great romance that Victoria shares in this one. Kate Derby is heading to help her grandmother who is recovering from a stroke in California. On a rain slicked highway, Kate lose [...]

    11. DESCRIPTION : Finding each other was only the beginning . . . When Kate Darby swerves off a mountain road to avoid hitting a California condor, she ends up trapped in her car, teetering on the edge of a cliff. Terrified, she breathes a prayer that changes her life. It's Nick Sheridan who comes to Kate's rescue. Nick is handsome and confident, and he seems to develop a habit of rescuing her, but Kate is in town only until her grandmother recuperates from a stroke. She's not planning to get involve [...]

    12. First, a confession – I did what we’re never supposed to do. I judged a book by its cover. I’ve never read anything by Victoria Bylin, but the cover of her new book got me. It was just so whimsical, like a piece of one of those adorable Pinterest engagement photos, radiating hope and optimism. And in the case of Until I Found You – I’m so glad I did! There’s Nick Sheridan, a man trying to leave behind the disaster he’d made out of his life and walk in the newness of a relationship w [...]

    13. In the beginning, I really liked this book; by its completion, I respectfully loved this book. Respected because, what could have been a very predictable story morphed into something entirely different. The raw emotion and realism exhibited by the two main characters was very refreshing and took me completely by surprise. Kate Darby and Nick Sheridan have much in common; they love and have loved the "high life"; living for accolades, recognition and shallow happiness. When Nick Sheridan's life i [...]

    14. Kate Darby is returning to her small home town to care for her grandmother when her car goes over a cliff. She is rescued by the handsome Nick Sheridan, a freelance journalist employed by her grandmother at the Clarion, the weekly town newspaper. Like many good novels, Until I Found You works on several levels. It’s a story of two people searching for love in spite of the fact they’ve been burned before (to the point where Nick has actually committed not to date for a year. And it’s six mo [...]

    15. This was a totally amazing book. The characters were so real, so much so, you felt like you were part of the story. The struggles, very real. The journey, uplifting. Nick was a new Christian. His past life in the fast lane, living for the moment, living for himself, changed when he had an encounter with God. Now, he's like a night in shining armor. Putting others first. Treating people with respect. Swoon worthy. Kate was scared of not being in control. When she had a car accident that left her [...]

    16. 5 stars out of 5 given to Until I Found You. I do not think I have read a book by Victoria Bylin before, but I know I will be looking for more of her novels. This one is a contemporary novel and I loved how she wove in the stories of the almost extinct birds, the condors. They actually play an integral part in the lives of both Nick and Kate. Victoria writes a page turning novel of Kate and the issues and life styles that threaten to suck her under. We do not all have the same choices facing us [...]

    17. Until I Found You by Victoria BylinI really enjoyed this book. Victoria Bylin is a new author to me, but I plan to find more of her books. I found her style of writing to be fun, full of faith and realistic. You are sure to fall in love with the storyline and characters. Nick Sheridan comes to the rescue of Kate Darby more than once. He is not proud of his past as a bestselling author, but as a new Christian has the chance to save Kate’s grandmothers newspaper and write about the important thi [...]

    18. Just as I was finding my balance from the dramatic prologue, then Chapter One hit. Talk about a cliff-hanger! Victoria Bylin knows how to get a reader's attention. I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Kate Darby has to put her high-powered advertising job on hold while her grandmother recovers from her stroke. Glamorous starlet Eve, her agency's biggest customer, has taken a personal interest in Kate and isn't happy with the competition for her attention. Bylin does a great job with Ev [...]

    19. 3.5 Stars. Being generous. The author is a great writer, and I liked the characters--all of them. A lot. What I had trouble with is the SUPER RUSHED ENDING. SUPPPPPERRRR rushed. Kate didn't even MEET Nick's family but she's comfortable with his brother marrying them? Or has she been attending his congregation this whole time? I DON'T KNOW.Furthermore, I found her conversion horribly lacking. Not sure if it is just a difference in opinion between me and the author though. There was little Bible ve [...]

    20. I loved Until I Found You. The story is told in 3 viewpoints: the heroine, hero and the heroine's grandmother. I most appreciated the frankness of the grandmother who didn't make light of struggles she had in her life. Each of these caused her to trust God more and more, but NONE of them gave her the warm fuzzies.I loved the thread of the struggle to help the California condors escape extinction and the hero's struggle to embrace chastity, a concept almost completely lost into today's culture. I [...]

    21. First, let me say that I really really really LOVED this honest & realistic look at two new Christians trying to figure out to live out the raw reality of their changed hearts. Tough decisions, commitments that are difficult to keep, pivotal circumstances that lead you to a crisis of belief. And in the end - not a "happily ever after" maybe but a "joy endures" which is what we should all be seeking as daughters of Jesus.Second, this line: "Nick Sheridan had the posture of a soldier, the ease [...]

    22. Until I Found You was a great book! I enjoyed the passion shown in each of the character's personalities. There is definite chemistry between Nick and Kate. I enjoyed how the author weaved their faith into their everyday lives making it very realistic and true to life. The trials faced by each are the ones that are faced by each of us at one time or another. I will enjoy continuing to read this author's work.I received this book from the Book Club Network in exchange for my honest opinion.

    23. I love Victoria Bylin's historicals so I was hoping this was going to be just as good, being a contemporary. It wasn't. Plain and simple, it was boring. I didn't much care for the heroine either. DNF at 60%

    24. Bylin writes actions scenes that had me in the moment. This love story is sweet and honest. As Kate searches to fill the hole in her life that she didn't really understand existed, she meet Nick. When Kate's grandmother has a stroke, she comes to help and when a condor bird is in the road on a mountain pass, she swerves to miss it and heads over the side. Nick is a new believer who made a pact with himself to not date for one year. Six months in, he meets Kate. On that mountain side. He rescues [...]

    25. Standard romance. I didn't even barely finish the book. Poorly written, and didn't like the tie in to the condor birds and how they mate for life. I mean, wouldn't there be another animal that is more exciting than a condor?! All in all, predictable, and not enjoyable read

    26. Fun light readPredictable light Christian romance that leaves you with a smile on your face. I could easily see this story as a Hallmark movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    27. Kate Darby was a mess. In spite of the laissez faire attitude toward life she projected to others, she was a seething tornado inside: fears, insecurities, indecision about her future in spite of her dream job, and loneliness. To complicate her life, her grandmother suffered a stroke and Kate was needed to help her recover while at the same time keeping the family's local newspaper, the Clarion, afloat during her absence. She had to take two months off from her job, an action that could lead to l [...]

    28. The saying goes, “don’t judge a book by its cover,” however I confess, my interest in this novel stemmed purely from being attracted to its polished, yet beautifully unrefined cover design. It seemed the perfect portrait of a genuine moment of love, which is what made it stand out. After that, I found the synopsis sounded equally charming which made me happy since I’m a big fan of contemporary romance. We begin by journeying with Kate Darby back to her grandmother, Leona’s small hometo [...]

    29. Title: Until I Found YouAuthor: Victoria BylinPages: 352Year: 2014Publisher: BethanyUnique, captivating and compelling are the words I use to describe this wonderful novel that has characters almost like real people. Kate Darby and Nick Sheridan are the main focus in the tale that is filled with tension, romance and faith. The past of Nick Sheridan is one he wants to be able to forget in so many ways. Once he becomes a Christian, he makes a vow that is tested when he meets Kate Darby.Kate is the [...]
