    1. Mara was a "mean girl". After a humbling experience she finds Christ and decides to apologize to the men she hurt during college. Her experiences show how someone's behavior affects others. An interesting fact about the book is that each chapter (apology) is written by a different author.

Dyer, Jennifer Hallmark, Paulette Harris, Marji Laine, Fay Lamb, Elizabeth Noyes, Betty Owens, Phee Paradise, Debbie Roome, and Debra Ullrick.Have you ever wanted to watch some uppity female get her comeuppance? Well, then, you just might like this book. Mara Adkins has just been fired, hung on her own petard. Pretty, talented Mara was the one who was famous about stringing the guys along and dumping them in the mo [...]

    3. I so enjoyed every single apology - even the one that didn't go very well.Mara, a "mean girl" to outdo all mean girls, gets a taste of her own bad medicine. In one fell swoop, she loses her fiancé, her job, and her career. Tail tucked firmly between her legs, she goes home to discover her parents have undergone an amazing change. She quickly learns the change was brought about by a new-found faith. Before long, Mara finds her own faith and feels called by the Lord to contact each of the men she [...]

    4. Back in college, Mara and her sorority sisters got a kick out of publicly humiliating the men who loved them. Now, after a cruel shot of karma, Mara is on a quest to find all twelve men and apologize. Each chapter, written by a different author, features a new man, a new job--and apparently the authors were under strict orders not to make it a common job--and a new reaction to the apology.Of course, this novel is a bit of a romance to boot, and the final chapter reveals the man of Mara's dreams. [...]

    5. When I first noticed the book A Dozen Apologies, I thought it was an interesting plot. When I discovered that each hero’s chapter was written by a different author, I was intrigued. I missed the posting of the chapters as readers voted on who would be the “happily-ever-after” hero in the final published version of the book, but I think I rather enjoyed reading it all put together. Each chapter has a fun twist as you find out what the hero is up to after all the years since Mara saw them la [...]
