    1. Suprisingly great book. Don't let the cover fool you. This is a rocknroll book of a different eraReview to come!!****This book was part of a blog tour, I received a copy for my honest review****From the very first page I was immediately drawn into this story.Julie Page Morgan has done a wonderful job setting the stage for this book and taking us back to a time of free love and rock n' roll. The characters were very well defined. I loved Katie and and Jay and their whole relationship. They had me [...]

    2. Author Juil Page Morgan’s debut novel, CRIMSON AND CLOVER, was a spot-on rockin’ read. As someone who was born at the tail end of the sixties, I loved being able to experience all the turbulent times and fervent love affairs of the period. Juli’s backstage knowledge of the rock star lifestyle adds depth and detail to the story and I found myself drawn into her world and unable to stop turning pages. Hero Jay is one sexy beast and heroine Katie is a feisty girl with a heart of gold. Togethe [...]

    3. Juli Morgan's Crimson and Clover is a fun and fabulous romance novel with a unique setting. The late 1960's don't seem THAT long ago, but as I was drawn into the story, I realized Morgan was introducing me to a world long gone. The hippies, the mods, the innocent spirit of free love and drug experimentation We're too wise and cynical now for such a movement to take root in contemporary times, making the 60's counter culture fresh new territory for historical romance.Katie is a love child who lea [...]

    4. Crimson and Clover is a romp through the Swinging Sixties. Katie Scott lives every fangirl's dream when she and Jay Carey, lead guitarist of her favorite group, not only meet but discover passion in each other. Alas, the road to June Cleaver-dom is not a smooth one; the road is long and many a winding turn. Both discover as much about themselves as they do about each other and we are lucky enough to watch through the eyes of the author, Juli Page Morgan. Her writing is entertaining and refreshin [...]

    5. I initially started reading this with a little trepidation, fearing that the heroine would be some simpering airheaded hippie and the hero would be a Ken doll with a blonde pageboy and love beads. Nope!Katie is young and from the South (Birmingham, AL, my hometown, yeah!), but she's not an ignorant hayseed. Even better, she's also not a blushing virgin with no idea that's she's beautiful (unlike so many other authors' heroines I can name. Damn I'm getting tired of that cliche). No, Katie knows h [...]

    6. The two girls took up a position where they’d be out of the way, but would still have a commanding view of the stage. Jay looked up at George and silently counted out a beat. And the room exploded with rock and roll. That quote pretty much sums up this book. Sure, Crimson and Clover is labeled as a romance but it's so much more. This is a story about rock and roll, and love, and challenge, and getting together, and trying to stay together. It's about a man and a woman who come up against the re [...]

    7. First, I would like to say, THANK GOD I AM NOT MARRIED TO A ROCK STAROk, they aren't ALL that bad, but boy would I not have the balls to deal with their shitexcuse my language, but it's the truth!Okw that I have said my piece, I will go on with my review of CRIMSON AND CLOVER, the new release from Juli Page Morgan. What a GREAT story! Juli not only takes you on a wild ride of Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll, but shares the truth behind the curtains. To say that I am highly impressed with her know [...]

    9. Katie, a young free spirit, lands in swinging sixties London to start over. Apparently her ideals of having a white picket fence home and a family (which she didn't have growing up) is not appreciated in the flower-power headiness of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury. It turns out it's not as radical a place as she thought. Katie feels that perhaps Ladbrook Grove is the place to re-group.There she meets Adam; and in the essence of 'free love', they get together. Unfortunately, Adam now thinks Katie [...]

    10. This was a sweet and sexy romance. It filled me with nostalgia for an exciting era in music (the Sixties), and gave me the fangirl experience of falling for a rock star adored by zillions. I enjoyed every minute of Jay and Katie's love story. I agonized over the separations they had to endure because of Jay's touring, yet it made their reunions that much sweeter. I admired Katie's strength and sense of self and how she was always more than just a rock star's mate. This was a fun story, one that [...]

    11. I picked up this book to read because I really wanted to find out what was the 'secret' Katie was carrying for two years. It turns out to be not that small. It's actually a big misstep in live if you want to say it that way. But before you get too curious of what the secret is, I'll tell you more about the book. ;)Katie is from the United States. After her father died, Katie decided to go to England to start over. She was recommended to go to this place, so she listened and actually picked h [...]

    12. Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll. Does life get any better? Not if you are in London in the sixties. Katie is wanting to combine her flower child life with the home she has been craving and by moving to London, she hopes she will find that. Passion enflames her when she meets Jay Carey, a rockstar that sets her bellbottoms on fire!Jay is a bad, bad boy and I am in love! This story makes you believe that you are in sixties London and the author has a talent for spinning a story you want to savor. You [...]

    13. Julie Page Morgan's Crimson and Clover brilliantly captures the essence of what it was like to come of age in the Sixties and early Seventies. I enjoyed every moment of this novel, from the triumphs and travails of the smart and sassy heroine, Katie, and her rock star, Jay, to the subtle and spot on details of life in London and Malibu, to the carefully nuanced portraits of her secondary characters. I was particularly stuck by the marvelous ending. The depth of emotions and the personal growth e [...]

    14. Juli Page Morgan’s debut romance, Crimson and Clover is a fun trip back in time to the turbulent late sixties where sex, drugs and rock and roll are a big part of everyday life. Please click HERE to read my review in its entirety.

    15. hat a fun story!!!! Crimson & Clover is not your usual romance book-It's a long strange trip back in time! I will admit to remembering most of the 70's, I do not remember the 60's (not for the reason you are thinking!-I was born in the late 60's) This book gave me such a vivid look into the world of "flower power" "rock n roll" and the "summer of love" That I felt like I was there! This is Juli Page Morgan's debut book & I will definately be looking for more from her. You need to pick up [...]

    16. This novel stands in a genre of its own. Clearly the author has first hand knowledge of the times and a love for the music that makes Crimson and Clover so special. I ate it up in one sitting and left wanting more yet fully satisfied at the same time.

    17. Not a joy to read, not very interesting, characters very shallow and unlikable.A month after reading I can't even remember exactly why I was left with a memory of distaste and slime.

    18. Review originally posted on Rach Lawrence Books.*I was provided a copy of Crimson and Clover by the author in exchange for an honest review. I am not compensated for my honest opinion.*Eighteen-year-old flower child Katie Scott is all for the world of sex, drugs, and rock and roll in the late sixties, but she still dreams of a June Cleaver life. When San Francisco no longer has anything to offer her, she moves to Ladbroke Grove in London to start over. She’s not really looking for love, but lo [...]

    19. I really enjoyed this story. It was refreshing to read a rock and roll romance set in the '60's rather than current day. I was just a kid back then, but I think the author did a pretty good job of capturing the feel of the times. Back then people were still somewhat idealistic and hopeful instead of being so jaded. Rock and roll was new and fresh. There was no "cult of celebrity". Everyone was experimenting with drugs and easy sex, and although some succumbed to that lifestyle, for plenty of peo [...]

    20. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. As this generation likes to say… “Back in the day…” This tale was very Déjà vu for me. Juli Page Morgan is spot on in her descriptions of attitudes, music, dress and slang. Most of today’s books about rockers/rock bands/rockstars are written as taking place in the here and now. It was refreshing to read about an era that was so accurately portrayed when things were so different, yet so similar. One wasn’t as judgmental then ab [...]
