    1. Wedding Matilda is the sixth book in Heather Hiestand's Redcakes series of books. Previously not having read the other 5, I can easily sat that this book can be read as a stand alone one.The story is about Matilda Redcake who runs a branch of the family business. She is a single mother, having fallen pregnant in order to get a husband. But he refuses to marry her and she is left to bring up her son on her own with the shame of being unwed. Her family stand by her though and for the most part she [...]

    2. This is actually book six in the "Redcakes" series. I actually haven't been reading them in order. So don't worry if you to are finding yourself jumping around in the series. This is story of the hero finding he is more than he thought himself to That he was no regular tradesman and that opened up to thinking he could be more to the heroine. But this heroine needed help as you will see. Glad to have this book.

    3. This is book six of the Redcake series; it can read as a stand alone. The Redcake Tea Shop employs Ewan Hales, which is under Matilda Redcake’s control. Ewan is a hard worker and proud of his employment as he is in line to manage the new enterprise to open shortly. He and Matilda slowly realize an attraction is growing. Meanwhile Ewan discovers he is [...]

    4. ARC REVIEW Book six in the Redcakes series by Heather Hiestand, Wedding Matilda, doesn't quite have the same magic as the other books. I love this series I have read all of them, as much as i enjoyed the idea of this book the characters and the plot this one seemed really drawn out almost like it should have been just a novella. Ewan I loved, Matilda because of the stress she was going through I can't complain because I have no idea how I would react in that kind of a situation.Ewan Hales has be [...]

    5. This book is really enjoyable to read: is sweet, romantic with strong and well-built plot, captivating and believable characters. This series of historical novels is really original, revolves around the Redcake Tea Shop. It's the first historical book that I read about cake shop. I really enjoyed this new historical aspect. I never read books set in the nineteenth century that talks so much about cakes.Ewan is the secretary of the manager of Redcake Tea Shop. For him it is a great success to hav [...]

    6. I have been following this series from Heather. I have enjoyed reading this series. I liked this story too but it seemed to start out slower than the previous books. Heather has still developed some of the best people. Good and nasty. She has written a wild story line with many, many twists and spoilers. There are so many ways these go that it is hard to follow them. I would still recommend everyone to read this book. Dean, who believed he had no relatives finds out that is very wrong. Spoiler. [...]

    7. Matilda is working at her families cake business, trying to find her kidnapped son and falling in love. They try to solve the mystery of who has her son which ties into who is sabotaging her families business.I haven't read many Victorian stories lately but this was a good story.I was given a advanced copy of this book in return for a honest review.

    8. **I received an eARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**I have read several books by Ms. Hiestand and I have enjoyed her writing style. But this book was not what I have become accustomed to from this author. The premise of the story was great, but the execution was sorely lacking. I am having a very hard time writing this review, because the story did not flow well and was very disjointed - it makes it hard for me to accurately summarize the plot, as [...]

    10. The Redcakes Tea Shop, indeed the cake factory are experiencing troubles, and Matilda is feeling the pressure to keep everything running. She doesn’t have time for the trouble OR to hunt down a new secretary, let alone have a relationship. But now that he is heir to an earldom, he might just have a chance.Having come to London seeking answers about a bad batch of cakes, Matilda [...]

    12. Wedding Matilda consists of drama, suspense, romance and surprises. Ewan never thought much about his lot in life. He was grateful for the things he had and not yearning for what he didn't. In the blink of an eye all of that changes with a shocking revelation. Heather Hiestand has written a story that is revealing and sweet but it is also a good read. Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    13. Really enjoyed Matilda's love story with the secretary Ewan Kidnapping of her son was the underlying story tag.cely donewith a happy ending to boot! Plus Ewan is in line for an earldom so she get her nobility in the end too.

    14. This was a scary kidnapping mystery. The heroine's toddler is kidnapped just as she's reconnecting with the hero of the story, leading them to hunt for her missing son together. It was interesting to see what happened with the Redcakes family as they returned to their original home in Bristol.

    15. DNFed when Gawain, in a way, sided with Thomas Bliven about Matilda. I do not want to be in that family. Seriously.

    16. I wasn't as enamored with the characters as with the other Redcake books. I don't think Ewan was as I had envisioned through all the other books. I can't wait for the next one though.
