    1. Truth in advertising, I wrote this book, so I will give it five stars. Technically, it has a few flaws, but it has a strong heart and good bones. It is ten years worth of essays that examine my life of small steps, beginning with my teen years in a family of nine on a small sheep farm in Central California, to my marriage at nineteen to a motorcycle cowboy with a Portuguese mother-in-law who wanted better for her only son.     2. Positively delightful memoir! Exceptionally well written, with lots of laugh-out-loud moments, with wonderful wisdom honestly shared by a wise woman. It is not only a page-turning book, but I turned down pages and highlighted the entire book. It's a great reminder of how we "have come a long way, baby." Anne was a college student, and a wife/young mother in the days of "no fast food, no delivered pizza, no paper diapers.I ironed everything we wore until I met my new best friend, Poly Ester."     3. This is one of the unusual "women's books" that is suitable for us men. In fact, it should be mandatory. What memories of meeting the ordinary events of life and gaining great insights!
