    1. Lectura ligera y entretenida que engancha bastante. Tenía miedo que al ser la historia con otros protas (respecto al primer libro) no me enganchara pero ha sido todo lo contrario.

    2. This book did not appeal to me so much as the other two Harper St George books I have read. Gunner was always full of self loathing, thinking that he was not good enough and Kadlin could never bring herself to trust this man. The whole plot was based on this alone and was too repetitive to the extent that nothing ever really happens in this book. The book started off well and it picked up in the last two chapters when Gunnar finally came out of his complaisance I am not too enamoured of plots wh [...]

    3. One Night with the Viking by Harper St. George is #2 of "Viking Warriors", but can be read as a stand alone. This is a new author to me, and what a surprise. Well written with historical content and endearing characters. My only complaint, was the dialog. I enjoy the Viking dialog, however, I understand some readers do not.Steady paced, Viking tale with long-suffering characters, dangers, trust, love, and romance. Gunnar, has loved his childhood friend, Kadlin, for years, but felt unworthy of he [...]

    4. Didn't care for this story--it didn't have much of a plot. Gunnar and Kadlin share one night together before he drops her like hot potato and goes off to fight in his little wars and leaves her with 9-month surprise. He returns 2 years later and critically wounded, so that he spends more than half the book in bed with a drunken self-pity party. Gunnar doesn't want Kadlin to "pity" him, but while she's wrapped up in her own pain of living in the past, he pities himself. The whole story is pretty [...]

    5. It took my a while to finish this one. I just didn't care for the characters. Gunnar was full of self-loathing and Kadlin let people walk all over her. I prefer to read characters that have some backbone to them. It felt more like a really bad couples therapy session than a romance. Harper St. George is a phenomenal writer, but this book just didn't do it for me.

    6. Gunnar returns to Kadlin, previously bethrothed to his brother. He's surprised that she favored him instead. He leaves her after a night of passion and is dumped at her doorstep when his leg is broken. I love how Eirik engineered them to be together. Except Kadlin is now a widow and a mother to Gunnar's son. I loved that Gunnar was shown to be so vulnerable. Even the backstory with his father was interesting. And though I never like him, his was a sad story. The villain in the form of Baldr was [...]
