    1. I really enjoyed this compendium of 15 short stories by Tim - made all the more interesting for me as I too reside in this area of the country. There's a good range of narratives, characters and situations, and I especially liked the stories that carried a slightly supernatural element (such as The Grey Lady) - although my favourite of all was the neat crime-can-sometimes-pay tale The Colnbrook Caper. It kept me in real suspense right till the end wondering if the protagonist really would succeed [...]

    2. I enjoyed Tim's personal approach, explaining what inspired the tales and bringing the collection together. I bought the book as I love history and know some of these places quite well. All life is on the River Thames and on the Long Walk in Windsor Great Park, plenty of inspiration for writers. I wasn't sure where some of the stories were heading and they faded before they got there, but others were funny and clever, especially those with a crime theme. A pleasant way to enjoy history and be in [...]

    3. This was an eclectic collection of short stories set in my own local area. Not all the stories hit home for me, and some I found ended a bit to abruptly for my personal liking. Saying that, the ones I liked - which included - Murder at Henley, The Merry Women of Windsor and The Colnbrook Caper - I did really enjoy. A good read especially enhanced if you live in the area.

    4. Easy readingNice short stories, easy reading. Can be read when not wanting to get engrossed in one long story. Enjoyed all the stories
