    1. This second volume in Laura DeBruce’s Quicksilver Legacy trilogy is a fast-paced fantasy adventure novel. In the previous book, the author introduced the “Immortals,” centuries-old creatures who are impervious to disease and aging due to a magic elixir. If Hana, the teenage protagonist, can learn how to use the elixir in her possession correctly, she can save her mother from a potentially fatal blood disorder. Although the complicated plot might be difficult to keep up with for those new t [...]

    2. Let me start off with an apology. This review is bound to sound like a cliche. That is not due to the author of the book but purely because I am unable to think of better ways to express my impressions. So here goes. This book is a roller-coaster of non stop action. The YA - NA cross over gives this book a fresh lease on life in a market where YA paranormal suspense is to be found everywhere. Book two in a series I am glad to proclaim that character development is gradual but intense. The atmosp [...]

    3. I like to read stand-alone books, but I prefer series. A series allows me to invest in the characters and they become familiar friends who tell me their story. I read the first book of The Quicksilver Legacy series (The Riddle of Prague), and when this book became available, I added it to my Kindle!Synopsis (from the author): American teenagers, Hana and Alex, travel to Paris on a mission to save the people they love. They have to decode an obscure message to find the only woman on earth who can [...]

    5. Read this book on a weekend; you’ll want to finish itThis is the second book in the Quicksilver Legacy series but the author makes great job of the first chapter. It gives enough information for it to be read as a standalone, combined with dramatic action sure to hook new and old readers. While this is a fantasy about an elixir that can make humans live forever, or at least only die from violence, not illness or old age, it is firmly grounded in real life by characters uninvolved in the danger [...]

    6. Be sure to enter the giveaway for a Kindle Paperwhite PLUS a signed copy of The Riddle of Prague on my blog, Love at First Write!Other reviews and more can also be found here!*A copy of this book was given to me in exchange for an honest review*So my first introduction to this series was by giving the author my opinion of book 2’s cover options a couple years ago. I was then given a copy of book one, The Riddle of Prague which I reviewed here. I have been eagerly awaiting book two’s release [...]

    7. This is a seriously fun series. I sat back and just enjoyed the ride. First love Alex. Love how he is with his sister and also how he changed his view of his dad and began to respect him more. Alex was the easygoing sweet guy you loved to see in a crowd. He puts you at ease and he did this in spades for Hana. He liked her and it came out in all he did. His jealousy of David and his protectiveness of her was just too cute for words. He was also smart and levelheaded. He kept cool in tough situati [...]

    8. I was lucky enough to be a beta reader for this book. I have the first book which is the riddle of Prague and I was hooked. When the Temple of Paris was ready I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and continue the story of Hana Silna. When Hana gets off the plane in Paris instead of continuing on to the U.S. the excitement begins. What happens in the airport was it meant for Hana or someone else and where is David, she followed him off the plane. Hana has friends in Paris and goes to stay with [...]

    9. A beautiful young adult book that combines mystery, action and some mild supernatural elements. Well written and always maintaining interest this is hard to put down. I loved the previous book in the series because of its European location and am pleased to say that this lives up to the high expectation. The catch-up at the beginning was not necessary for me but it will be useful for those who dive in at the second book. It's easy to care for DeBruce's characters, the plot never lets up and even [...]

    10. I enjoyed the first book in this series very much but was left with some unanswered questions about character backgrounds and where things were going. This book filled in a lot of the blanks while raising new questions. The story weaves backstory and the present adventure together through rotating, distinct point of views from the heroine and a major villain. It is quick paced and exciting with complicated characters and subplots.

    11. This is an interesting story line, I have to say it was entertaining, but moved around a lot. The story starts with a girl named Hana who is on a journey to deliver this magical elixir. She travels all over the place and has quite a few bad guys to get away from. The book contained quite a bit of french, which I don't speak, but I was still able to follow the story line. If you enjoy mysteries, suspense, action and immortals this book is for you.

    12. Twists and turns, more players and a real shocker toward the end. There are several layers to be pried off as the two young people look for answers. And who is the crazy lady with the orange hair? This story just keeps you guessing as things spiral around toward? We'll all just have to wait and see.

    13. Hana and Alex's quest is full of dangers, odd encounters and most of all, hope. As we follow them through the streets of Paris, we can't help but root for the teenagers and pray they achieve their common goal. Looking forward to the sequel!

    14. Interesting adventure. Original plot - liked it. However, I found the way the story was written in present tense made it hard to get into. Also the ending was a cliff-hanger. But I really liked the characters. So overall a good read.
