I mostly use as a reader I love talking books, cracking jokes some say too many , and trying to invoke The Once And Future King all the time always As a moderator, I absolutely will not and cannot take requests to make any books club reads I do not tend to read books sent to me by strangers, and am much likely to seek out books by people who are interesting in group conversations.Because I am also an author, I do NOT send friend requests It is not because I don t like you, I do, really You re like if ice cream and rainbows had puppies, and I would gladly accept your request But people tend to cringe when they see an author friending them for fear of being book whacked I get enough people cringing when they see my name at work, thanks Someone started an ugly rumor that lawyers only call to tell you something bad, and while it s largely true, it s also hurtful I promise not to book whack or book jack you.Hmm Phrasing could be tighter on that I m leaving it.If you are here to learn about my books, the third book in The Summoner Sisters, Blood and Bone, is expected next year, and I have three other series and two stand alone books I m slowly writing I write fiction strong emphasis on urban fantasy and mythic fantasy.Hope to chat with you here or in a group

    1. "Feeding Frenzy" is a book I wrote nonstop in a relatively short span of time to keep my mind busy while I was waiting for bar results. It's about two sisters, Summer and Lia, who roam around (mostly) North America, ridding the area of any supernatural "booga booga" that pop up. I started it because I thought it would make my sister laugh if I wrote a story about the strange things she says, and what it'd be like if two close sisters were a monster fighting team, a la Harry Potter, Tamora Pierce [...]

    2. Greek mythology meets urban fantasy, kind of like a trendy YA version of the Percy Jackson series. The Summoner Sisters, Lia and Summer, hunt monsters. In this book, its an incubus. In the process, they meet up with figures from the ancient myths, except placed in today's world.Feeding Frenzy felt light and fun, instead of heavy on the drama- humorous but at the same time thrilling, trendy and nicely paced. It's written in the present tense from first person POV, similar to most YA books. It's a [...]

    3. I liked it! I have a barely cohesive and wide range of thoughts on this novel. It had a very shaky start for me, the dialog jumped right into banter between the sisters which was too sudden for me. It was very inside joke-ish and I felt excluded but it was witty enough and the setting intriguing enough that I kept reading a few more pages. The nvoel is very much a first novel but instead of waiting for a second one to improve, this one seemed to improve chapter by chapter. Again a bit flat at th [...]

    4. This was totally right up my ally. This such a great book that I would highly recommend reading. You can totally bet that "Sacrifice" is on the top of my reading list. I can't wait to see what happens next!

    5. Summer (aka Ms. Watson) & Lia (Sister, artist) watched in the car mirror as Sula, Montana disappeared in the horizon. The 2 were headed to Roanoke, VA.They found out Chelsea Eliopoulos & Brittney Reynolds were missing.Had a monster taken them? Detective Tom Kline & Officer Macgregor were doing their own investigation also. What other strange/bizarre things will the girls encounter on their journey? Who is Amelia Stroud?Warning: This book contains extremely graphic adult content, viole [...]

    6. Feeding Frenzy drew me I right from the start, and never let go. The sisters, Lia and Summer, have a real and down-to-earth feel, even as they're chasing after mythology's weirdest monsters. How do you find an arcane creature that's stealing college kids, and send it packing, without the local authorities noticing that you're packing some serious weaponry? And how do you survive it all when your "job" doesn't exactly pay? The world is compelling, the monsters are intriguing, and the pace never l [...]
